About Free Drinking Games
freedrinkinggames.fun is a free website with the rules of the classic drinking games and online versions you can play on one phone: Kings Cup, Ride the Bus, Truth or Drink, a party deck, dice games, spinners and scoreboards for beer pong and flip cup. It is made by a small independent team that also runs TruthOrDare.fun, MostLikelyTo.fun and Truths and a Lie.
Why we built it
Most drinking game pages are either a wall of rules copied from somewhere else or an app store link. We wanted one place where you can read clear rules, settle an argument about what the 8 means in Kings Cup, and then just press play: no deck of cards, no download, no account.
We also wanted games that don’t push anyone into drinking more than they want. Every game on the site has three modes: Sips, Any drink (soda and water count) and No alcohol, where sips become penalty points. Penalties are sips, never chugging, and the decks include water breaks.
How we make the games
- Rules are written from how the games are actually played, checked against several independent descriptions, and where groups disagree we say so and show the common house rules.
- Every game is played in the browser before it goes live, on phones and on a big screen.
- Card prompts and rules are our own. We never copy commercial card games or apps.
- Drafts are written with the help of AI tools and then edited and tested by people. Our editorial guidelines explain exactly how.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell alcohol or promote any drink brand.
- We don’t ask for accounts, emails or phone numbers. Player names stay on your device.
- We don’t invent statistics, reviews or “experts”.
Who it’s for
The site is for adults of legal drinking age (21 or older in the United States). Everyone else is welcome to the no-alcohol mode, and to our family-friendly sister sites.
