Football drinking game: quick rules
Everyone picks a team (or is assigned one). When your team gives up points, commits a penalty or turns the ball over, you take a sip. When your team scores, the other side sips. Bingo cards add individual squares on top. Pace yourselves: an NFL game lasts about three hours.

Super Bowl drinking game
For the big game, add rules for the show around it: a sip for every celebrity shown in the crowd, every advert with an animal, and every time the commentators mention the halftime show before it starts. During the halftime show itself, everyone switches to water, one of the best rules we know. Deal “American football” bingo cards for the whole party (print them for guests without phones).

Team-vs-team for rival fans
Split the room by team. Every rule above applies only to the fans of the team it happened to. Neutral viewers pick a side at kickoff. If one side is getting hammered, switch to “the leading team’s fans drink on every score”: it evens things out and keeps the losing side in the game.

Bingo is the best way to keep a big watch party interested in every play, not just the scores. Deal cards above (American football or soccer), or print a different card for each guest. Tips for a good game
- An NFL game is about three hours: pick 4–5 rules at most.
- Food before kickoff, water at every break.
- Nobody drives home after the game.
